​My name is Kimberly Thibeaux, I am the owner and founder of Brain Injury Nurses of Acadiana. I graduated nursing school from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. After graduation, I continued my studies in health and wellness nurse coaching, and holistic nursing. I also achieved double board certification by the AHNCC as a Holistic Nurse and a Health and Wellness Nurse Coach. My most recent achievement is becoming a certified brain injury specialist by the Brain Injury Association of America. With over 12 years working as a nurse, my professional experience is quite colorful. I have worked in the following areas, Medical Surgical, Home Health, Allergy and Immunology, Post surgery unit-Neuro/Ortho, Hospice, Private practice trauma informed stress relief coaching, and Acquired brain injury rehabilitation.

When I began working in brain injury, it was professional love at first experience. My background in holistic nursing has enabled me to approach brain injury from an extraordinary perspective, serving from a zoomed out and zoomed in viewpoint simultaneously, depending on what each survivor needs at that time creates an all-encompassing care package. In addition, health and wellness nurse coaching has given me the ability to not only support survivors but also their loved ones. My mission is to therapeutically serve the survivor and their family alleviating the stress impact. I believe serving the family is just as important as serving the survivor to optimally impact their overall healing post brain injury.

On a personal level, I was born and raised in Acadiana. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, painting, cooking and listening to some good tunes. Lastly, I always have my bible and a plethora of nourishing books around the house and office to pick up and read at any moment.
