Mission: Our mission is to provide holistic evidence based nursing care, facilitating healing & recovery, for survivors of traumatic or non-traumatic brain injury. At Brain Injury Nurses of Acadiana, we provide client centered care during all stages post brain injury. We support our clients to carry over their rehabilitation efforts back to the comfort of their own home. Our holistic approach, rooted in nursing theory, is a catalyst to rejuvenate each client’s unique experience of life post brain injury. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals on their team and implementing interventions that complement the natural operations of the body systems, can decrease the occurrence of functional plateaus during the rehabilitation period. We also empower our clients to reach their highest potential by embracing the new path ahead.

Vision: Our Vision is to be a beacon of support for brain injury survivors in Acadiana. We strive to coordinate an interdisciplinary care team that is ideal to optimize their future capabilities post brain injury. With our specialized nursing approach, we bring an elevated standard of care to the world of brain injury. We utilize our nursing expertise to partner with brain injury survivors’ caregivers and healthcare providers to create a therapeutic environment and care plan maximizing recovery post brain injury. Our services support survivors to age gracefully through the chronic timeline of brain injury. Our vision also includes family relations, focusing on maintaining healthy connections between the survivor and their loved ones.
